“Our mission trip to Guatemala was an unforgettable experience filled with love, gratitude, and faith. We had the blessing of building a home for a family whose kindness, resilience, and joy deeply touched our hearts.

Every step, from laying blocks to painting walls, carried deep purpose and hope for their future. Each day brought laughter, hard work, and moments that reminded us of the true meaning of service.

The highlight was presenting the keys and witnessing their overwhelming joy firsthand. This trip was more than building a house; it was about creating hope, love, and lifelong memories. We left with hearts full of gratitude, lifelong memories, and a renewed sense of purpose.”

“There are many impactful aspects to this experience; obviously, knowing that a family will have the opportunity to live in a beautiful and safe space brings great purpose to our work.The new relationships built in a short time are precious, as is the opportunity to strengthen the bonds we have created with the wonderful staff members of FHTH.

Last, we brought a group of 18 this year to build three homes (completing 33 homes built through our parish of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel since 2014); seeing how this home-building experience continues to transform the lives of the volunteers is a great blessing as well.”
