Judy first discovered Guatemala when she adopted the first of her 2 children in 1996. The picture of poverty remained with her so when Joe Collins, her friend of 30 years, asked her to help him with FHTH, the decision was easy. She worked strictly in a volunteer position until 2013 when she took on a more formal role, then becoming Executive Director upon the death of Joe Collins. Judy worked for 30 years in the health care industry before her focus shifted to FHTH. Judy, her husband and two children, both adopted from Guatemala, have built 9 homes. She is deeply committed to seeing that Joe's vision continues and FHTH remains a grassroots organization with a deep commitment to the families that FHTH serves.
